The new marina in Rhodes spans 260 dunams (approx. 64 acres) and is considered one of the most prestigious projects in the island nation. It includes a sea area of approximately 140 dunams, where 380 operational berths currently yielding recurring income are built, with another 180 to 240 berths currently under construction. In total, the marina will comprise up to 620 berths. Alongside the marina is a land area of approximately 118 dunams, on which 3,200 sqm of office space, commerce, restaurants, and a promenade are built.
Furthermore, the land has tens of thousands of square meters of building rights for commercial use, a yacht club, several residential towers, villas, hotels, and parking lots. According to the report, after the acquisition, the company is expected to extend the existing line of shops and restaurants by an additional 28,000 sqm and will focus on building a mix of various commercial facilities and high-end stores, restaurants, event halls, spa centers, and parking.
Additionally, 3 residential towers with 333 apartments are planned, with a mix ranging from studio to 4-room apartments, totaling approximately 28,000 sqm; 22 waterfront villas, totaling approximately 5,700 sqm; and another 13 massive apartments with water views, totaling approximately 4,050 sqm.
In the hospitality sector, the company plans to build a hotel with approximately 90 rooms, totaling around 8,600 sqm. The marina company will work to find a global luxury hotel chain for the hotel’s planning and operation, and a yacht club, including approximately 40 luxurious suites and a club area, totaling about 2,000 sqm. In total, approximately 467 units and rooms are planned for hospitality use.
According to the report, official sources in Rhodes indicate that approximately 3.5 million tourists visit Rhodes annually, of which about one million tourists per year arrive at the island via cruise ships, yachts, and catamarans. In this context, the company notes that demand for mooring has significantly increased in recent years due to high demand and is expected to rise further in the coming years as the number of vessels increases.
